Animal Cruelty

This post is dedicated to animals who hate their lives. As exemplified below......
If was were this assorted animals I would have killed myself already, so let's appreciate their courage.

In other findings, I am working on a project so I have no creative flow, but these animals , in their various costumes, give me the strength to carry on.

It's Record Store Day, go give business to one, NOWWW!!!

le tired

hey all,

so the school year is coming to an end, and i think all of us here at coconut brain are ready for our summer vacation. my summer plans are still quite up in the air, but i know i will be returning home for either all or part of my break. and also lolla! whooo!

i have a reading list for my summer break. i think it's time for me to become much more well-versed in literature, you know?

i'm watching family guy. it's like, so funny.

okay. i'm exhausted. i'm off to bed, probably. but let me just tell you, in a couple weeks, i'll going to tell you guys all about the oiling industry and the arctic! it'll couples weeks' worth of research, but i'll keep it short and too the point. it's pretty topical.

hey!

hey guys,

so i'm at the library right now taking yet another break from writing my paper. it's coming along.

as many of you might know, weezer is coming out with their newest album june 17. this will be their sixth album and their third self-titled album. now, weezer is one favorite bands. i love them more than words can fairly express. the music video for "keep fishin' " is fantastic (as is any collaboration with the muppets). however, make believe was somewhat shitty. it breaks my heart to give such an appraisal, but it really was not up to par with their previous work. i'm wishing with all my heart that this upcoming album will be as great.

"the album is meaty, crunchy and melodic like a good weezer album should be," wrote river on the band's page. oh river, my hopes are held high.

also, people, i'm going to lollapalooza in august and could not be more excited. this year's lineup definitely rivals that of bonnaroo (and let me tell you, both lineups were quite the poop last year). many bands are playing at both festivals, so i'm not too sad i won't be attending bonnaroo this year. i am jealous, however, that manchester will get to see rilo kiley, tegan&sara, zach galifianakis  and david cross and that chicago won't.

i should just learn to deal, yes? yeah.

with sincere hope that you all are doing well,

back in da houzzee

Hola sirs and madames,
I have returned from the murky depths that I usually call home ( aka I've been buried in work on neurons hence, I had no pop culture things to talk about). The photo above makes me happier than words can describe. For today, let's take a look into rantings I created in the past..... way back to 2006...

Hello , Its me again

Well,
Hello people of the world wide web. Its me.
How have you been? I've been thinking too much and becoming highly philosophical. Its a vicious cycle I get wrapped up in of constantly thinking everything is something else. Enough external psycho babble for now. Now to talk of something less inportant.
Spin Magazine- I once enjoyed reading you. Now that you've been sold and gutted, you have become a worthless piece of crap and a horrible waste of paper. I liked reading about music and enjoying the comedic banter that filled your pages. Now, I have 5 page spreads on Beyonce that quite frankly suck ass. I miss Chuck Klosterman too. Honestly, his articles were one of the best things about you. Sia Michel was an excellent editor too. Now i have to deal with Andy-crapface-probably-drops-lines-about-him-being-an-editor-to-pick-up-underage-hookers Pemberton, excellent. I also hate that all the covers are the same now. Anyway, I liked when you had articles that came from your writers and were personal, now I feel like your attempting to force feed me crap about myspace and " hot" party scenes. Bottomline- Rehire Sia and get Chuck back on or your going to become Teen People's slightly older sister that still wears braces and tries to make friends by talking about how you were so " totally hammered on wine coolers".

I guess thats all the complaining I have to deliver for now.

bye

I was a pretty witty individual... if I don't mind tooting my own horn...
There was also rantings on if I had a country album I would title it
" Kenny Rodgers is dead and now someone must reign over his country legacy". I don't know what I was thinking that would be a horrible name, seriously I could do mo betta. Well, in other news, I'm doing this huge project on the BU Bio Lab ( or as I like to call it the ebola housing facility). Considering I harbor numerous irrational fears, getting ebola probably tops my list. I am terrified one day I will wake up one day without warning and have ebola. In other news, I am seeing Hot Chip next Monday so hopefully there will be enjoyable pictures to follow.

and Yay!! My friend bought me this Buddy Holly CD so me and his zombie rock out daily.

I'm thinking about adding random reviews to my section.. perhaps this will soon follow.

over and out rescue rangers,
pippi

let's you and me catch up

hello puppies!

it's a late night post, but i'll try to stray away from the nonsensical.

so all three of us (eloise, pippi and i, that is) will be busy with a pretty important group project until the end of april. at the moment, i'm pushing off some research i have to conduct. i have till 8pm tomorrow to meet my group, so it'll be done by then for sure. i promise all of you.

i am in desperate need of a dance party. like, just some good ol' fling-your-arms-in-the-air-kick-your-legs-shake-your-head-to-some-rockin'-music relief. when i'm in my hometown (you know, when i'm not at university), my friends and i will rock out for hours, and i mean hours. it's fun. you'd enjoy it too, i bet. (and for those of you who are a bit more inhibited, crack open a bottle of vodka. you'll loosen right up).

i need a bundle/vase of daffodils or sunflowers on my desk or something. they just remind me of bright, bright sunshine. perhaps i will go buy some. now, for all your traditionalists out there with what i must call retrograde thinking, a girl can totally buy her own flowers. for every woman out there who does so, good for you! (i'm feeling very empowered right now. i get this way after midnight, oftentimes).

well, i must go do some of that research i mentioned earlier, mustn't i? take care and if you're going to ride a motorcycle, please wear a helmet. it looks totally cool AND smart - two very attractive qualities,

becoming close friends with jstor and the four books on my desk,
